Software Developer
Do you have a background within Software Development?
Our client is currently recruiting for a Software Developer to join their team. As a Software Developer you will be working with all members of the ICT Department to perform both project centric and maintenance activities to achieve the common goal of delivering software solutions to the organisation as needs are identified.
Within this role you will be required to:
Perform maintenance work on our existing bespoke software, including but not limited to, updating the sales system, creating and updating reports, bug fixing and enhancing software services.
Seek out and define (in writing) the specific requirements in terms of functionality and, where appropriate, scalability, reliability, transactional nature, usability and security for assigned work during the course of its development from the assigned domain expert.
Produce software that reflects high quality design according to evolving Industry recognised patterns and the department design principles.
Develop/re-develop software modules to enhance or improve their function as requested, while adhering to the technology specific department standards and checklists.
Adequately test engineered code such that it is fit for purpose.
Communicate technical ideas to technical and non-technical staff as required, including the delivery of training to end-users when required.
Provide progress (and estimated time to finish) information to the development team and project manager as requested.
Take direction from the ICT Manager as instructed.
Carry out any other reasonable requests of the ICT Manager.
Accountabilities:
The robustness of the requirements file produced during the development of a webservice, windows service or application.
The completeness, without error, of any department tasks assigned.
The fitness of the designs created, including the judgment applied as to the sophistication of solution required, with respect to the requirements and time constraints.
The reliability and performance of the software modules produced.
The usability of any user interfaces produced.
You must have a proven track record within:
ASP.Net, C#, Javascript, AJAX
T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SQL Reporting Services
Object Orientated Prgramming
HTML, CSS, XML
