Pricing Analyst  
Our client is currently looking to recruit a Pricing Analyst. As a Pricing Analyst you will be required to contribute towards maximising the profitable development of the Underwriting through recommending pricing actions based on the monitoring and analysis of performance and mix trends, enhancing management information, rating and pricing concepts. Completing applications of retail feedback received from TPF sales and service areas and monitor actions of the Underwriting’s competitors.

Your main responsibilites will be to:
Monitor and analyse the underwriting performance as required, at the rating factor and product levels.
Identify and recommend opportunities to optimise profitable growth through appropriate pricing changes.
Develop and enhanced management information and analytical techniques and pricing models.
Optimise the Underwriting’s pricing position through the monitoring and analysis of pricing trends and the actions of competitors to identify and recommend changes to maximise market opportunities, identify areas of growth and contraction and control areas of poor performance.
Support the Underwriting teams by recommending new, enhanced or amended underwriting rules and product covers.
Support the Senior Pricing Analysts, as appropriate.

The successful applicant will possess a background in a personal lines pricing environment. Have a sound understanding of pricing and underwriting principles. A good working knowledge of the personal lines market with an awareness of the market and legal/industry developments. Be highly computer literate, able to use spreadsheets, databases and learn new systems. In-depth background of Excel and Access. Have a working knowledge of Emblem and SAS. Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines. Demonstrates self-motivation and an innovative approach. Excellent skills in explaining pricing decisions based on detailed analysis, both internally and externally to key business partners. The ability to explain recommendations in a clear and concise way. Flexibility to adopt appropriate behaviour given the situation, acts with integrity, openness and honesty.Able to work with others, both internally and externally, to achieve good results and foster good working relationships.

A study towards ACII is preferred but not essential.
Salary: £ 26000 - £ 35000 per annum
