Reporting to the E&T Lead Engineer

Basic Job Description: Reporting to the E&T Lead Engineer, a Development Engineer (Electronics/Electrical) will have specific responsibility during product development to design, build, test and verify electronic and electrical circuits and systems to meet a wide range of project requirements. The Development Engineering may also have responsibility for the installation and maintenance of electronic/electrical equipment within the company.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

· In consultation with the team leader, to agree performance and test criteria for electronic circuits, often microcontroller based, to be used in current and future products.
· To liaise with software engineers to integrate software and hardware.
· To liaise with suppliers to identify suitable components.
· To design and commission the circuit designs including PCB layout (PROTEL) and bench-level debugging of through-hole and surface-mount designs.
· To produce Bills of Materials and related documents to facilitate procurement and manufacture.
· To be support the transfer of designs from Engineering to Production

Salary: £ 27000 - £ 34000   per hour
