Training Officer
ROLE: We are looking for a Training Officer in our Bournemouth role to take a pro-active role in the development and delivery of training across Deacon to ensure all staff are fully and correctly trained and suitably equipped with the skills to perform in their jobs to the best of their ability. To support the Operations Manager to ensure that training functions effectively and professionally at all times. Works closely the Management team to understand training needs and what is required to support the business most effectively.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
„Ï To produce and implement relevant induction training programmes for all members of staff.
„Ï To produce ongoing refresher and development training programmes for all current members f staff (in groups or individually).
„Ï To understand, produce, communicate and train any changes to the business such as price changes, product launches etc through training.
„Ï To prepare, design, develop and deliver new training courses and be responsible for their evaluation and improvement.
„Ï To learn and be an expert in all training you deliver.
„Ï To deliver training of a high standard.
„Ï Responsible for ensuring the business benefit from all training delivered
„Ï To design, produce and maintain training resources.
„Ï To adhere to the Training & Competency Procedure/Processes set out by Barbon.
„Ï To attend and learn any external training courses delivered so we can then deliver internally.
„Ï To proactively identify where possible any ad-hoc training requirements of staff and communicate these so the relevant training can be planned and delivered.
„Ï To coach quality check staff, team leaders and managers and feedback on their performance.
„Ï To be responsible for maintaining the training library and the ongoing review and quality assessment of all training materials.
„Ï Check and assess training material against process.
Salary:
£ 23000 -
£ 25000
per hour

Marketing Executive
ROLE: Were looking for a Marketing Executive in our Bournemouth office the role is to contribute, develop and implement long-term customer focussed marketing plans and strategies which relate directly to core business objectives.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Conduct internet, telephone & direct mail based research as directed.
•Assist with copywriting and proofing all marketing pieces.
•Produce company literature focusing on the brand concept.
•Update key areas of the business with new marketing material.
•Ongoing market research for new, useful sites that will help Barbon develop new products, services, markets or initiatives.
•Maintain a competitor information file.
•Monitor and implement list/ database building activities.
•Assist in carrying out marketing campaigns including planning, advertising, promoting, and implementing maximising on cross selling opportunities.
•Providing ad tracking reports in support of marketing campaigns.
•Assist in documentation marketing literature - catalogues, fliers, cards, literature.
•To manage any marketing projects as required supporting the implementation of a customer focussed marketing strategy.
•Contribute to marketing plans and research.
•To report on the activities within the Marketing Department on a weekly/ monthly basis.
•Any other tasks as deemed necessary with a growing business.

Campaign Sales Executive - Outbound
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a Sales environment. Whislt maximising opportunities for selling/cross selling of all products and services available within Deacon.

Insurance Product Builder + System Administrator
THE ROLE
Deacon are in the process of replacing their current Insurance application with the Insight system from SSP. We are looking for a technical analyst that can configure the application using SSP provided tools and also look after the health and maintenance of the database and application. You must have an understanding of Insurance and have previous experience in producing MI suites (we are using Crystal Reports on an Oracle database), customer documentation tools, data migrations or business process mapping. Ideally you will have worked with either Insight or TAM before. Although not essential, a candidate with VB scripting or web services experience would be favoured.
An analytical and organized mind is needed.

The job holder will be the person with principal application responsibility for the operation of the Insight application at Deacon in Bournemouth. The job holder will work closely with staff in other teams who will have responsibility for all insurance aspects of the operation of this system.
The job holder will work to business requirements provided by the Insurance teams. Responsibility for the definition of products, documents, workflows etc will rest with the business, whilst the job holder will be responsible for implementing (or will provide support for the implementation of) these things.
Responsibilities will include:
System administration This will involve providing support to the Operations team (or having direct responsibility for) in administering the Insight system, including all configuration settings, user and security management, etc.
Simple customer documents Provide support to the Operations team in using TX Word and the Insight Data Dictionary.
Complex customer documents Provide support to the Operations team in using Crystal Reports and the Insight/Oracle database.
Management information Provide a service to the Deacon management team by creating and maintaining reports using Crystal Reports. Manage the automatic scheduling of selected reports and “no-touch” electronic distribution.
Products Provide a centre of expertise in the use of Product Builder, Forms Builder and Rates Author. Take principal responsibility for building and maintaining products, or support Underwriting, Finance and Operations staff, as appropriate. Use SQL scripting expertise to ensure database changes accurately reflect Forms Builder/Rates Author development.
Database and application administration Patch management and upgrades of the application and database using best practise. Monitor and manage performance and capacity of both.
Migration Depending on timing of appointment, play a lead role in the electronic migration of data from TAM to Insight.
Salary:
